At the Annual Association of Irish Musical Societies (AIMS) Awards Ceremony in Killarney on June 19, Portmarnock Musical & Dramatic Society received the following Awards for their recent production of All Shook Up: Winner – Best Comedian Dave Latham as Dennis Runner Up – Best Choreography, Brian Keogh Runner Up – Best House Management Muriel Daly Hearty congratulations to everyone involved!
Portmarnock Community School This year our musical is “All Shook Up” which will be staged in Portmarnock Community School from Tuesday April 6 to Saturday April 10, 2010, inclusive. “All Shook Up” is a musical based on the songs of Elvis Presley and tells the story of a young man who rides into town on his motorbike and the town is never the same again. In all there are 24 songs including Jailhouse Rock, Heartbreak Hotel, Hound Dog, Teddy Bear, It’s Now Or Never, Don’t be Cruel, Love Me Tender, Can’t Help Falling in Love, Devil in Disguise and many more. This is a fun show with all the music that everybody knows and you’ll be dancing in the aisles. So forget the recession for a while and come along for a great evening’s entertainment.
